Q & A archiveVitamins for Children

Question: What is the best vitamins/minerals that children 3 to 6 years old should be taking? They do not eat right and do not drink enough water, besides that what can I do as a Granny to help them? Thank you.

Answer: As a Granny, your options are very limited. Advice not sought is rarely followed. Unfortunately, you may have to wait for your children to get enough sense to treat your grandchildren properly. That being said, the grandchildren would surely benefit from being educated to stay away from excessive sugar foods and soft drinks and take as a minimum, one or two tablets a day of a good children’s vitamin and 500 mg. a day of Vitamin C. If you feel like being more repulsive to your children, you might suggest that the grandchildren would benefit very greatly by giving them one teaspoon of Cod Liver Oil two or three times a week. I would suggest these products be obtained at a Health Food Store. Good luck!
