Q & A archive—Smell & Eczema

Question: I have lost my sense of smell. What can you suggest? Also, what do you suggest for problems with eczema in children?

Answer: Zinc deficiency many times cause lack of smelling and tasting ability. I would suggest 50 mg. of zinc daily for an adult female or 100 mg. for a male. Reduce the dose to about half that after the problem is solved.

Eczema in children is usually an allergy and/or poor nutrition or both. Cow's milk and wheat products are frequent offenders. Delete the milk first and observe results. Don't substitute Soy milk. It is not good for children. One or two ml (or cc) of Cod Liver Oil for small children and about 10 mg. of zinc is very helpful also. Eliminate all soft drinks and sugar products.
