Q & A archive—Multiple
Sclerosis
Question: Have you been able to help anyone with M.S.?
Answer: Help? Yes. Cure? No Multiple Sclerosis is a
very puzzling disease. As far as I know, there is no known
cause. We know that there is a demyelinization of the nerves in
certain areas of the brain which causes a “shorting out” so to
speak and certain muscular functions which those nerves control
are impaired.
It is thought by some that excessive consumption of the
artificial sweetener Aspartame can closely mimic the symptoms of
M.S. Some of the symptoms displayed by people with severe cases
of Systemic Candidiasis seem to be some of those of M.S. also.
That is not known for sure however.
Some of the things that we know help M.S. patients are the
following:
Eliminate milk and milk products.
Some patients benefit from eliminating all gluten containing
foods—all grain foods except Rice.
Eliminate all hydrogenated and partially hydrogenated fats from
the diet, such as margarine, cooking oils, and diet and low fat
foods (which are hydrogenated fats).
Use Virgin Olive Oil as your cooking oil and for your salad
dressings. Increase your intake of the Omega-3 fatty acids by
taking One tablespoon of Cod Liver Oil and one tablespoon of
Flaxseed Oil daily.
Eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Eat lots of fiber foods and if necessary take additional
Magnesium (500 to 1000 mg. daily) to make sure the bowels move
completely and daily. Magnesium is essential for nervous system
health.
Take lots of antioxidants: Vitamin C 1000 mg. 3 times a day.
Vitamin E COMPLEX 800 units a day. Q10 in gelcaps 50 to 75 mg.
twice a day. NAC (N-Acetyl Cysteine) 600 mg. twice a day.
Take a good 50 mg. B Complex capsule twice a day.
Sublingual B12 tablets 1 mg. daily.
Keep a positive, prayerful attitude. The way we think has a
tremendous influence on our health.
