Calcium and Cabbage
For many years I have advised against drinking pasteurized
cow’s milk. The usual question that I get is: “But if I don’t
drink milk, how will I get my calcium?” What most people fail to
realize is that very few people can digest pasteurized milk well
enough to get much calcium out of it anyway. There are many much
better ways to get calcium.. For instance, cheese, green and
yellow vegetables, nuts, eggs and fresh fruit are all good
sources of calcium.
A very good source of calcium which is seldom heard about and
is also very good for healing intestinal tract problems like
Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Colitis and Gastric Reflux is
CABBAGE. Shredded cabbage is rich in calcium, is a very good
fiber food and the metanoic acid that it contains is very
beneficial to the intestinal tract.
Cabbage juice and shredded cabbage have been used for decades
to heal stomach ulcers and intestinal problems far faster than
conventional treatment. If you have any such problems you might
try one half cup of cabbage juice twice a day and a cup of
shredded cabbage salad every day for a short period of time and
just see what happens.
People are so aware of the need for calcium from all of the
hype they hear from the companies that are profiting from the
sale of questionable calcium products that they lose sight of
the fact that most people probably have much less need for
calcium than they do for magnesium which is much more of a
universal mineral deficiency. Without Magnesium and Vitamin D
all the calcium in the world cannot be utilized. Here’s to your
good health.
